Renewable energy aid in the Valencian Community: Everything you need to know
Renewable energy grants from the European Union are now available. Apply for renewable energy grants in the Valencian Community.
The European Union’s guidelines for supporting renewable energy are clear, both for its environmental and geopolitical advantages and from a business perspective, given its high potential for creating highly skilled jobs (design, construction, facility maintenance, etc.); as well as for its capacity to develop complementary and related investments in this sector. Based on these aspects, IVACE in the Valencian Community has created the “RENEWABLE ENERGY COMMUNITIES 2021. ELECTRICAL SELF-CONSUMPTION INSTALLATIONS” grants, which we discuss below:
April 28th marked the opening of the application period for grants and loans for renewable energy self-consumption in the Valencian Community.
Who can apply for this aid for renewable energy?
Any renewable energy community or energy community, city councils, as well as homeowner associations within the Valencian Community.
What kind of project?
Supportable actions include renewable energy installations for collective generation and self-consumption.
Actions related to solar photovoltaic, wind, geothermal, small hydro, biomass and biogas, biofuels, and other renewable energy sources.
Points to keep in mind:
- They must have applied before the project was executed.
- Application submission dates: From April 28, 2021, to May 31, 2021
- Eligible expense period: from the day following the application receipt until 12/31/2021
- Deadline for project justification: 12/31/2021
- Non-repayable grant of up to 45% of the project’s eligible cost. This may be increased by up to 10 points for aid to medium-sized enterprises and by up to 20 points for assistance to small businesses (including city councils, public entities, and non-profit institutions, provided they qualify as small businesses).
- A maximum aid of 200,000 euros per project is established.
