Generally, the installation of photovoltaic solar panels on building roofs, in accordance with Law 12/2017, of December 29, on urban planning in the Balearic Islands, will be subject to the prior notification regime.
This is informally known as a minor works permit, whereby work can begin with two days’ notice for installations requiring only a technical report and 15 days’ notice for installations requiring a technical project. Along with this notice, construction documentation must be submitted, and a series of fees and taxes must be paid. These are:
Municipal taxes on photovoltaic electrical installations.
At the municipal level, review each municipality’s ordinances, as these can change annually.
Tax on Installations, Constructions and Works (ICIO)
Processing fee
And other bonds, such as the waste management bond

At the state level, the tax agency offers a 20% discount on the total budget for self-consumption installations.
