What are the conditions for a photovoltaic self-consumption installation?
Depending on the type of soil on which the self-consumption solar installation will be installed in Formentera, we consider the following cases:
Urban land, where installation may be carried out on building roofs, with prior notification, except for buildings of cultural interest, which require an environmental impact assessment, or whose installation affects the foundations/structure of the building.
Rustic land, where the installation may be carried out as long as the occupation is less than 15 hectares.
Once the soil type has been identified, solar panels may only be installed on buildings with flat roofs or on the ground surrounding such buildings, provided that they are not visible from the outside in either case.
In the case of solar panels on roofs, they cannot be installed on pitched roofs. And in the case of flat roofs:
They will have a maximum slope of 10%, protected by railings of a maximum height of 60 cm around their entire perimeter.
In the case of solar panels on the ground,
The maximum gradient will be 20% and also:
The occupation must be less than the difference between the surface area of the building and the roof area of said building occupied by slabs, and may not exceed 100 m2.
The installation of photovoltaic panels must be protected by fences with a maximum ground clearance of 80 cm, taking into account the setbacks from adjacent buildings.
Support systems must be installed on unpaved ground.
